Season 4, Episode 1: Burning Notes with Noe Amos
The very first Burning Notes session features Noe Amos, known on stage as @Venue3—a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Wabash, Indiana.
Noe and I crossed paths just before I officially opened my studio. He was immediately drawn to the space, especially the natural acoustics, and expressed interest in performing there. That moment planted a seed. I’d been trying to figure out how to create something meaningful for musicians like Noe. That’s when I started thinking seriously about using my podcast platform, On the Back Burner.
Originally, On the Back Burner was created to feature creative natives who were highlighted in Digital Wolf Magazine. Later, it became a way to promote upcoming events at The Native Nook Art Gallery. Over time, I realized that traditional hosting isn’t my strength—but I still wanted to offer people a way to be heard. That’s how Burning Notes came to life: a space that’s authentic, unscripted, and grounded in intention.
Noe helped me shape that idea. As the first guest, he not only performed his original songs but also brought his own presence and purpose to the session. Before each song, he introduces himself and shares the story behind the music. At the end, he offers a closing reflection—and symbolically burns a handwritten note he prepared before we began. After the note turned to ash, Noe lit sage—grown in my own garden—to complete the moment and gently close our session.
It’s raw, real, and exactly how I envisioned these sessions to feel. I encourage you to listen to the full episode—let the music draw you in and follow Noe’s journey through each track.
You’ll learn more about his history, his heart, and the moments that shaped his sound.
